Inspired by the Image Comics book Drink and Draw Social Club, I have taken it upon myself to try and start a chapter in the Tampa Area. All cool Tampa People are encouraged join the Facebook Group and discuss where and when drinking and drawing are most likely to mix.

Why are Latin Artists always so great? Ben is an artist from Mexico with a lot of style and nice sense of color and design. I dig this.


Apparently the only way I’m going to ever improve as an artist is if I learn Spanish. It makes you superhumanly cool or something.

I absolutely love this. Somehow the absurd costumes seems so much more believable back in the 80s. Makes me think of the amazing Art Adams poster with the 80s style X-men costumes I used to have.

Shockwaves Apparel Effects Workshop

Had a pretty damn fine time at the Shockwaves Apparel workshop in Arlington Heights, IL last weekend. Special thanks to Greg Gaardbo and Charlie Taublieb for allowing us into Shockwaves and sharing their insight and experience.

Charlie sets up a screen to print pigmented discharge and tapes up pinholes.

We were hands on with all the techniques--we did very little sitting back and getting talked at.

Whatever you do, don't trust these three.
